Terms
The short version: Sylo shows your business from the tools you connect. You can use it free, or pay monthly for more, and cancel whenever you like. Your data stays yours. Sylo only changes something in your tools when you do it from Sylo, and it never contacts your customers.
1. Who we are
Sylo is run from the United Kingdom by Ronnie Boksh, a sole trader trading as Sylo. In these terms, “Sylo”, “we” and “us” mean whoever runs it, and “you” means the business that holds the account. Contact us at sylo.support@gmail.com.
By creating an account or starting a plan you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice.
2. Sylo is for businesses
Sylo is a tool for running a business. You must be at least 18 and using it for a business, whether that is a company, a partnership or yourself as a sole trader. Because of that, the consumer protections that apply when shopping as a private individual do not apply to these terms, except where the law says they always do.
3. Your account and your team
Keep your sign-in details safe, and keep the details on your account accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the team members you invite do in it. Pro includes up to 5 people; Business has no limit.
On Business you can invite your own clients to a portal. You decide who is invited and what they can see, and you are responsible for sharing only what you are entitled to share.
4. Plans, trials and payment
- Free costs nothing and has no time limit.
- Pro is £39 a month, and Business is £79 a month, paid monthly in advance by card through Stripe.
- Your first paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Your card is held, and the first payment is taken when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. If you have had a paid plan before, a new one starts straight away without a trial.
- Each month’s payment renews automatically on the same date until you cancel. Stripe processes every payment, and we never see or store your card details.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again. If it still cannot be collected, your account moves back to Free until it is, and nothing you have set up is deleted.
- If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
The prices shown are the prices you pay.
5. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan. Your paid plan carries on until the end of the month you have already paid for, then your account moves to Free. Cancelling during a free trial means you are never charged.
Payments are not refunded for part of a month, or for a month you did not use, except where the law requires it or where we have made a mistake in charging you. If you think you have been charged in error, contact us and we will put it right.
6. Your data and the tools you connect
Your data is yours. That includes what is in the tools you connect, such as Stripe, your CRM, Google Calendar, Gmail and Slack, and anything you type into Sylo. You give us permission to process it only to run Sylo for you, as the privacy notice explains.
Sylo reads your connected tools to show your business. It changes something in one of them only when you do it from Sylo: for example, pausing or cancelling a subscription, or adding a lead to your CRM. It never emails, messages or charges your customers on its own.
You can disconnect a tool at any time from Connectors. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, apart from anything we are required to keep by law, such as billing records.
7. What Sylo is, and is not
Sylo’s figures, scores and alerts are worked out from the data in your tools. They are only as accurate as that data, and they are there to help you decide, not to decide for you. Nothing in Sylo is financial, tax, legal or accounting advice.
Automations notice things and tell you. They do not act for you unless a feature clearly says it will and you have switched it on.
8. Using Sylo properly
Do not use Sylo for anything unlawful, try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, interfere with how Sylo runs, copy or scrape it, or resell access to it. The one exception is white-labelling on Business: you may present Sylo under your own name to your own team and clients.
9. Availability and changes to Sylo
We work to keep Sylo running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. It depends on services we do not control, including the tools you connect. We improve Sylo all the time. If we remove something a paid plan relies on, we will tell you first.
10. Our liability
We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost business or lost opportunities. Nor are we responsible for anything caused by the tools you connect or by data in them being wrong. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Suspending or closing an account
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used to cause harm. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you the chance to put things right.
12. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters to how you use Sylo, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies. You can cancel before then if you do not agree.
13. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute. If something goes wrong, contact us first at sylo.support@gmail.com. Most things can be sorted out quickly.
